Good to hear about getting your satellite phone and its on to the Greek Island of Crete. Crete became a part of Greece in 1913, formally in the Ottoman Empire. The Island is mostly mountainous and it's character is defined by a high mountain range that travels from east to west. The weather will be sunny with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 70s and dry through Tuesday October 4th. Flight weather will include early t-storms then dry from southern Italy to Crete. Winds aloft will be from the southwest at 30-40 mph.

This all reminds me of a economic debate back at Union College in 1973. My opponent implied I was a "Cretin" (a word meant to imply an odd person of questionable intelligence).
Actually, Cretinism it was a physical condition caused by not enough Iodine in your diet.

Not to be confused with a (CretAn) or someone from the Island of Crete!

Either way , Ed and Zvi will be on Crete for a few days, spreading the word about Alzheimer's research and the quest for the cure. More on that in my next blog.
